Vanessa is an award winning artist and designer focused on creating thought provoking experiences and installations. Her passion lies in connecting with people across cultures via unconventional but universally relevant vehicles.

She is the founder of  Wild Flag Studios, a company that creates interactive experiences and produces luxury art installations for brands worldwide. Wild Flag Studios builds authentic links between consumer behavior and popular culture through the fundamental principles of art and design.  Past clients and collaborators include Andaz, Diageo, Mercedes Benz, Unilever, BBC and Lord & Taylor.

She is also the founder of the Subversive Gardener, a non-profit organization for environmental education, design exploration and public intervention connected to the guerrilla gardening subculture.

Prior to founding Wild Flag Studios and Subversive Gardener, Vanessa was a Creative Technologist at Burberry in London working directly with the then CEO Angela Ahrendts and Creative Director Christopher Bailey on technology integration within the Burberry brand.

Vanessa and her work have been featured in publications such as but not limited to Vogue, The Guardian, CNN, Wired, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, BBC and Vice. She has delivered multiple talks including a TEDx talk that addressed public interventions that spark dialogue and aim to render solutions for timely social issues.

When she is not developing projects for Wild Flag Studios or Subversive Gardener, she teaches design in both the Tisch Art Department and Tandon Engineering Department at New York University. She holds three art and design centric degrees from the Ontario College of Art & Design, MIT Media Lab and the Royal College of Art in London.
