BUILD BY BEES, by Vanessa Harden and Kevin Hill, is a new design process that fosters a collaboration with honeybees and humans to create bespoke designs. Through interspecies collaboration, Built by Bees offers an alternative to conventional fabrication. Working with bee experts, products are placed within hives located in central London to enable the bees to build onto human-made designs with honeycombs. This process results in the production of an artifact that is designed by humans and embellished by bees.

Built by Bees has been exhibited at Selfridges, Designersblock during the London Design Festival and the V&A Museum, in addition to CBC Radio show "Spark."
